Betty Henry Martin

Mrs. Betty Henry Martin, 92, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Universal Healthcare in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Sunday at The Amity House at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin was born October 23, 1924 in Polk County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Fred Abraham Henry and Mary Hawkins Henry. She worked for Cannon Mills. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Martin loved to cook for her family, sew, quilt, and work in her garden. Betty also enjoyed spending time in the mountains.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Willard Martin; and son, Bobby Martin.

Mrs. Martin is survived by two daughters, Betty Ewing of Kannapolis and Debbie Griffin of Landis; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
