Betty Ann Seaford Perry

Mrs. Betty Ann Seaford Perry, 67, of 1000 Skyway Drive, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007, at Royal Oaks Baptist Church. The Rev. Leon Smith and the Rev. Larry Beaver will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born November 2, 1940 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Spurgeon Seaford and Lula Walter Seaford. She was a hairstylist and previously worked for 24 years at First Assembly Living Center. Mrs. Perry was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of CIADA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Ray Perry; and two brothers, Ricky Lee Seaford and Buck Seaford. Survivors include her husband, Marshall C. Perry of the home; a daughter, Louann Perry Gates and husband George of Gastonia; one son, Marshall Clifton Perry, Jr. and wife Lori Morgan Perry of McDill Air Force Base, Florida; two sisters, Betty Lou Weaver Caudill and husband Vernon, Betty Jean Alderman and husband Carl all of Concord; four grandchildren, Joe Gates and wife Randi, Kevin Gates, Kyle Perry and Sydney Perry. The family expresses great appreciation to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for the love and support shown to them and for the excellent care Betty Ann received. They especially thank Latricia, Jeanie, Shirley and Sylvia. Memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
