Betty Jean Simmons Helton

Mrs. Betty Jean Simmons Helton, 58, of 202 East 10th Street, Kannapolis, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harry T. Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Helton born June 5, 1944 in Madison County, GA. She was a daughter of the late Joe Walker Simmons and Ida Anthony Simmons. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Dwayne Helton. Mrs. Helton is survived by one son, Scott Max Helton, and his wife, April, of Kannapolis; two sisters, Jonell Rowland of Albemarle and Kathleen Miller of Kannapolis; three brothers, Tony Simmons of Albemarle, Mike Simmons and Don Simmons, both of Kannapolis.
