Betty Lou Williams

March 20, 1932 — December 21, 2016

Mrs. Betty Lou Lambert Williams, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 pm Friday, December 23, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 10 to 12:15 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams was born March 20, 1932 in Rowan County, NC. She was a daughter of the late George Washington Lambert and Virginia Elizabeth Query Lambert. She attended Landis High School She retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon where she worked in the Sheet Dept. of Plant 1. She later worked in the cafeteria at Forest Park Elementary School and South Rowan High School. She attended Piedmont Baptist Church in Enochville. Betty was a loving, Godly mother and grandmother. She always loved camping, going to the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Junior Williams; and her brother, Garland “Sonny” Lambert.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Denise Sheets of Kannapolis; son, Tony Williams of Kannapolis; sister, Carolyn O'Kelley and husband Gene of China Grove; two grandchildren, Angela Jordan and husband Bryan and Jason Sheets; and her pride and joy, her great granddaughter, Peyton Jordan.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
