Betty Aycock Willis

Mrs. Betty Aycock Willis, 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Friday, October 28, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Johnny Morton and Rev. Richard Horn will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from noon to 2:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Willis was born June 22, 1929 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Alonzo Aycock and Maggie Helms Aycock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Howard Willis and a number of brothers and sisters. Mrs. Willis is survived by daughter, Vickie Starr Willis of Kannapolis; sons, Howard Willis and wife, Sharon and Ronnie Willis and wife, Teresa both of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren, Ashleigh Belk, Meghan Dean, Hunter Willis, Darryle Willis and Zack Willis, April Sanders and Franklin Earnhardt; six great grandchildren and loving niece, Irene Mann. The family wishes to thank her many friends and care givers at the NC State Veterans Home for their friendship and outstanding care during the past six years.
