Bill Alexander Overcash

Mr. Bill Alexander Overcash, 72, of McKnight Street, Kannapolis, a very fine man, everyone that met him liked and would remember him, died Saturday, September 15, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 to 6 pm at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the home of his daughter, Rhonda Brantley, 309 Johnson Dairy Farm Road, Mooresville. Born October 5, 1934 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Fred Overcash and Gladys Sifford. He worked for Cannon Mills for 51 years, and was employed at D.S.C. Logistics at the time of his death. Mr. Overcash was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Gentry Overcash; and a daughter, Rhonda Overcash Brantley of Mooresville.
