Billy Gene Newcomb

Mr. Billy Gene Newcomb, 76, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House.

A memorial service was held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel with military rites provided by the US Navy. Rev. Jimmy Barrett officiated. Interment will be at Quidley Cemetery in Hatteras, NC at a later date.

The family received friends after the service Sunday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Hatteras United Methodist Church. Pastor Ken Davenport and Rev. Dwight Burrus will officiate. Interment will follow at Quidley Cemetery.

Mr. Newcomb was born on February 4, 1938 in Embry, MS. He was a son of the late John Casey Newcomb and Deanie Cooksey Newcomb. He retired as an electrician from the US Navy.

Mr. Newcomb is survived by his wife, Cecelia Scarborough Newcomb; daughter, Kim Renette Newcomb of Concord; granddaughter, Keah Leigh Green; and step-brother, Billy Ed Kilcrease and wife, Doris, of AK..
