Billy Ray Reid

Mr. Billy "Bill" Ray Reid, 78, of 2108 Fowler Street, Kannapolis, died Thursday, December 12, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center following a sudden illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 PM Sunday, December 15, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Todd Posey will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 PM Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Reid. Mr. Reid was born July 21, 1924 in Stanly County, NC. He was a son of the late Clarence Reid and Anna Fisher Reid. He retired in 1986 from Plant Sixteen of Cannon Mills where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kannapolis. Mr. Reid is survived by his wife, Margaret Bryant Reid; two daughters, Diane Troutman of Kannapolis, Judy Pless and her husband, Steve, of Rockwell; sister, Geraldine Lackey of Landis; two brothers, Joe and Earl Reid, both of Kannapolis; one grandchild, Robert Troutman of Cleveland, NC.
