Mr. Billy Charles Sechler, 72, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, surrounded by those he loved most. He fought bravely through a long journey and has now found peace.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Nazareth Community Church. Pastor Mike Shoaf will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:45 pm Saturday at Nazareth Community Church.

Billy was born May 2, 1953, in Concord. He was the son of the late Charles Gordon Sechler and Margaret Hooper Sechler. He was a 1971 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. Prior to being disabled, he was a vinyl siding installer for J.A. Fisher Construction and later Gold's Siding. He was a member of Nazareth Community Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Farmer Sechler; and son, Robbie Hill.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ridgell (Chris) of Salisbury; sister, Tammy Kilby (Tom) of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Britny Hill, whom he raised, resided with, and was his caregiver in recent years; Landon Ridgell and Kamden Ridgell; and one great-granddaughter, Shaelyn Hill.
