Billy Anderson Spry

Mr. Billy Anderson Spry, 80, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, February 13, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Spry was born August 7, 1934 in Kannapolis. He was a son of the late Robert Sanford Spry and Frances Isabell Newsom Spry. Mr. Spry was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for General Motors as a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Bowers Spry in 2012; wife, Lorene Starnes Spry in 1978; son, Jerome David Spry; step-daughter, Lori Nall Rhinehardt ; and brother, Jack Whims Spry, Sr.

Mr. Spry is survived by two sons, Dennis Lee Spry and wife, Latain, of Kannapolis and Robert A. Spry and wife, Susan, of Salisbury; two sisters, Frances Spry Setzer of Albemarle and Margie Spry Howard of Oakboro; and seven grandchildren.
