Bobby Bost,, my friend, my brother
More than sixty years of observation:
~An exemplary son, brother, teen, young man, husband, dad and leader
~Tender love exemplified, always, toward Marie and Mel
~Kind and Christ-like to all he met
~God, His Heavenly Father, his first priority, family second
~Ministry was backed up by a Christian lifestyle, thus powerful music:
the songs he sang stirring the heart and bringing conviction, comfort, needed challenges affecting change?the trumpet extolling God?s praises?each causing our souls to worship the One and Only True God.
~Exemplary in character
~A pure heart, a vessel of honor
~An encourager
~A kingdom builder, concerned for the destiny of each soul
~Effective prayer warrior
~Disciplined, dependable, determined
~?Just a Closer Walk with Thee??my favorite Bobby Bost solo
~Effective leader, willing to be lead toward worthy endeavors
Jesus speaking in Matthew 22:31-32, ?But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.?

It was a wonderful Sunday at Charity Baptist Church when we got to be in the last service with Brother Bobby and his friends. He was so weak but he played like an angel. You could tell that he loved the orgchestra and was so proud of them. I called after that several times to check on him and he answered the phone and encouraged me instead of me encouraging him. He was such a father figure to me, I lost my mother and dad years ago and everytime I saw him or talked to him he always had words of encouragement.
I am so privileged to have met such a wonderful family. I have meet many people through the H. Richard Hall Revivals but the Bost Family is so loving and kind to everyone they meet. The Bost Family is an inspiration to many. They treat everyone alike the most influential and the pulpier are the same in their site. They truly portray the love of God. Marie and Mel, Brother Bobby Bost is at home with Brother Hall and his mother and dad. I know all the angels welcomed him home and I know he wanted to see Jesus first and his mom and dad, Then Brother Hall. I am sure the first thing Brother Hall ask him was to play the trumpet for him, he loved it when Mel and Brother Bobby and of course Sister Marie came to the meetings. Don really loved to play the organ with Brother Bost and Mel. I love you both and you are in my thoughts and prayers. What a legacy Bob left to us all. Thank God the Bost family crossed my path. He is certainly missed but I am so thankful I have the assurance of seeing him again one day. I love you and we'll continue to lift you up in my prayers. I am only a phone call away. Love you Polly Hilton, Cleveland, TN

On Saturday, March 22, around 3:00 in the afternoon, God asked Michael and Gabriel to put down their trumpets and listen to a new member of the orchestra. Now, they may never want to play again. After meeting Bobby as a child, then spending time with him, Marie and Mel in my teens, and then working closely with him at Truth Temple, I have so many wonderful memories that I will forever cherish. One song that Bobby enjoyed singing at Truth Temple was ?That Sounds Like Home To Me?. Well now, he is home and I?m sure it is even more wonderful than he ever imagined.
Bob was truly an inspiration to all. His desire to live a life pleasing to God was evident in all that he did. I will always be reminded of his challenge to find your special gift given by God and use it for His Glory. He will truly be missed until that day when we meet again.

I have known Bob for 34 years and he has been a true inspiration to me and my family. He was such a man of God and a very talented musician and vocalist. He has been my orchestra director for the past 4 years and it has been a honor to play under his direction. I will truly miss his smile and support but I know I will see it again one day...Marie & Mel,you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Bob was a true man of God! He will be missed very much. I pray that God will comfort you in this sad but joyous time.
It was such a privilage to have met Mr. Bob Bost! What a wonderful man! I only knew Bob for about 6 months or so but every Sunday when I came in he always smiled and waved as he was conducting the band. Benji and I will never forget his precious words... "Benji and Christi, you were meant to be together by God." I love him so much for that! Now I hope Bob will watch over me as I continue to try to play the trumpet. He is my inspiration! Even though he isn't with us in his body... his spirit is very much so ALIVE! That's the awesome thing about what Christ offers us! I am very Honored to have met Bob Bost!
Bob,
It has been an honor to know you and an honor to have played with you. I'll miss you every day. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend.
