Bobby Martin Morris

Mr. Bobby Martin Morris, 88, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at CHS-NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, December 21, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Rash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Morris was born September 14, 1930 in Burlington, NC. He was a son of the late Wayland Franklin Morris, Sr. and Louise Smith Morris. He was a graduate of Winecoff High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a driver from Carolina Trailways and was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ola Harris Morris.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce Weaver Morris; daughter, Donna Morris of Kannapolis; son, Steve Morris of Concord; five sisters, Juanita Hoffman of Charlotte, Carolyn Barrier of Greensboro, Imeldia Eller of Charlotte, Sharron Malicki of Bluffton, SC and Susan Orsini of Savannah Beach, GA; three brothers, Donald Morris of Concord, Frank Morris of Fleming Island, FL and John Morris of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Mallory Morris of Durham and Hunter Morris and wife Jenny of Raleigh; and one great grandson, Bronson Morris of Raleigh.
