Bonnie Sue Keziah Miller

January 31, 1941 — August 28, 2024

Bonnie Sue Keziah Miller, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by family on Wednesday, the 28th of August, 2024. Born January 31, 1941, in Kannapolis, Bonnie was the daughter of the late George Washington and Margaret Small Keziah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong love and husband of 46 years, Billy Lee “Bill” Miller; daughter, Natalie Carla Miller; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Miller; two brothers, David Kenneth Keziah, and Howard Lee Keziah, Sr.

She is survived and of the home of her daughter and caregivers, Laura Miller Tadlock, husband, Carl F. Tadlock (her “Cowboy Carl”); grandson, Preston Miller Tadlock (her “Main Man”); granddaughter Carleigh Sue Tadlock (her ‘Hollywood’); first granddaughter, Leah Margaret Miller (her “Precious Baby Girl”, Wilmington, NC), and a great grandson, Kington Lee Miller (her “Firecracker”); and her beloved sister, Evelyn Morgan (Charleston, SC), and numerous extended family members.

Bonnie attended Pfeiffer College for two years and volunteered her time in many areas. She spent countless hours at Landis Elementary School, where she became a Teacher’s Assistant. She was a lifelong Tax Consultant for H&R Block, working for her brother, Howard. She was an office manager for Universal Forrest Products Eastern Purchasing Office in Salisbury. Bonnie also was a medical transcriptionist for a decade, working with her daughter, Laura.

Bonnie was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, who took great pride in caring for her family. She was an extremely talented seamstress, making countless costumes over the years. Her magnum opus was her daughter, Laura’s wedding gown. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and taking care of her beautiful flower gardens.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, knitting, and listening to Gaither Gospel music. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and never missed a game. She enjoyed an especially close relationship with her sister Evelyn, whom she talked to almost daily. Bonnie was a woman of great faith, who attended North Kannapolis Baptist Church for many years, where she taught Sunday School, and she and her husband, Bill, were involved with traveling with the Youth Choir. Later in life, she transferred her membership to First Reformed Church, Landis, where she attended with her family. She was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, gentle nature, and her unwavering faith and love.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, September 1st , 2024 at 5:30 pm at First Reformed Church, Landis. The Rev. David P. Franks will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Sunday in the sanctuary of First Reformed Church, Landis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Reformed Church, Good Samaritan Fund, 210 N. Central Avenue, Landis, NC 28088.
