Bonnie Francis Purvis (Boone)

Bonnie Francis Boone Purvis, 70, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Boone will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 pm Sunday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Purvis was born on March 5, 1944 in Chesterfield, SC. She was a daughter of the late John Bunyan Boone and Lillie Mae Grooms Boone. She worked as a supervisor for a janitorial service. She loved her and her sister’s poodle and enjoyed watching NASCAR.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “J.W.” Wilson Purvis; six brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Purvis is survived by her daughter, Julia Parham and husband, Walter, of Kannapolis; one sister, Ruby Draper; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews including one special nephew, Gilbert Tarlton.
