Bonnie Carol Reid

Ms. Bonnie “Carol” Brooks Reid, 65, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Monday, February 3, 2014, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Zachary Sizemore will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Ms. Reid was born May 18, 1948 in Concord. She was a daughter of Ethel Cox Brooks of Kannapolis and the late Julian C. Brooks. She worked for Bank of America as an account manager. Bonnie was an accomplished pianist and an avid book reader.

Ms. Reid in addition to her mother is survived by her daughter, Leslie Cooke and husband Patrick of China Grove; son, Gary W. Reid, Jr. of Kannapolis; two sisters, Kay Brooks Goble and husband Ike and Julie Brooks, all of Kannapolis; former husband, Gary Reid, Sr. of Salisbury; and two grandchildren, Skylar Brooke Knowles and Austin Luke Cooke.
