Bonnie June Williams Lentz

Bonnie June Williams Lentz, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at her home in China Grove.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Dayspring Community Church. Rev. Gerry Steedley will officiate.

She was born March 6, 1947 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late Bobby Ray Williams and June Elizabeth Read Williams.

Bonnie and her husband Charles owned and operated Lentz Saddle and Tack Shop in China Grove for many years. She was a devout Christian who loved her church and church family. She was a very talented seamstress who blessed her church with innumerable banners that adorn Dayspring Community Church. She loved her horses and dogs, as she had many through the years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Junie Elizabeth Nail; and three brothers, Cliff, Howard, and Todd Williams.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Lee Lentz; a daughter, Heather Peninger and husband Bradley; a son, Greg Lentz and wife Jennifer, all of China Grove; a brother, Paul Williams of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Morgan Oakes and husband Garrett, Krista Peninger, Marisa Lentz, Sara Lentz, Lane Nail, and Cody Boulware; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Dayspring Community Church, 490 Lentz Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
