Bradley Allen "Brad" Clinkscales, 49, of 712 Maplewood Drive, Kannapolis, died Friday, September 1, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Joe Harding, Jr. and the Rev. George Garman will officiate. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a brother-in-law, Berd Phillips, Jr., 855 Ney Street, Kannapolis. Born April 15, 1957, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Bobby Lewis Clinkscales and Louise Gibson Clinkscales. He formerly worked in the bleachery at Cannon Mills, Plant No. 1 and First Baptist Church in Kannapolis. He was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Toni Phillips Clinkscales; a son, Zachary Allen Clinkscales of the home; brother, Joseph Lewis Clinkscales and companion, Esther, of Landis; brother-in-law, Berd Phillips, Jr. and wife Joan of Kannapolis; sister-in-law, Donna Garman and husband George of Morganton; step-mother, Joyce Clinkscales of Kannapolis; four nieces, Lynn Lowery, Tabitha Clinkscales, Kelly Grindstaff and husband Rob, and Staci Garman; two nephews, Jonathon Clinkscales and Phil Garman and wife Joy; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
