Mrs. Brenda Watts Crisp, 80, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 West A Street, Kannapolis, NC. Dr. Greg Sloop and Rev. Dennis McGuire will officiate. Burial will be 11:00 am Friday at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC officiated by Rev. Joe Heffner.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 pm Thursday at Kannapolis Church of God.
Brenda was born June 14, 1942 in Clover, SC. She was a daughter of the late Henry Leslie Watts and Laura Daisy Hodge Watts. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cynthia Diana Watts Johnston and Joy Watts Falls.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 64 years, Sam Crisp; daughter, Debbie Crisp of Concord; son, David Crisp (Lori) of Kannapolis; sister, Peggy Hartness (Hugh) of York, SC; brother, Jerry "Bud" Watts (Diane) of Clover, SC; brother-in-law, David Johnston of Clover; and three grandchildren, Zachary Steele, Courtney McHugh (Brendan) and Anna Steele.
Brenda faithfully served God through all the seasons of her life. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother "G", her lifelong goal was to communicate God's love to those she held dearest. Brenda's tenacious faith was like a securing anchor in challenging times. Now she can rest in peace, knowing her life touched so many.
