Brenda Kay Dancy

Ms. Brenda Kay Johnson Dancy, 59, of Academy Street, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Josh Hughes will officiate.

The family will receive friends following the services.

Brenda was born December 9, 1952 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Leonard Junior Johnson and Vallie Mae Drake Johnson. She was employed by Good Health Services where she worked as an in-home aid. She attended Lakewood Baptist Church. Brenda loved to read her Bible as well as enjoyed watching Soap Operas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Jane Johnson.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Mary Dancy of Kannapolis; niece, Renee Wilhelm of China Grove; and her faithful canine companion whom she loved, "Baby Girl".
