Brenda Goodman Morgan

Mrs. Brenda Goodman Morgan, 81, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Copperfield Nursing and Rehab in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Randy Flemming will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Brenda was born February 8, 1945 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late J. Goodman and Addie-Bell Cox Goodman. She worked as a nursing assistant for many years at Northeast Medical Center.

She found joy in serving at many churches alongside her husband. They enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus with others. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she delighted in the lights, gifting for others, decorations, music, and the special memories made with family and friends. She dearly loved her faithful dogs, Bob and Journey, who brought her endless comfort and happiness. Whether listening to beach music or shag dancing in her younger days, admiring a beautiful piece of jewelry, or shopping for the perfect pocketbook, she embraced the things that made her smile. Rarely seen without her signature red lipstick, she carried herself with grace, style, and a spirit that brightened every room she entered.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Leo Morgan.

Brenda is survived by her three sons, Randy Morgan and Terry of Hampstead, NC, Farion Morgan and wife Angela of Landis, and Bryant Morgan and wife Becky of Kannapolis.
