Brenda Ward Scarborough

Mrs. Brenda Ward Scarborough, 65, of Miller Road, China Grove, died Sunday, March 30, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kannapolis West "A" Church of God of which she was a member. The Rev. Sam Crisp will officiate. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service on Thursday. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Lady's Funeral Home. Brenda was born in Rowan County on March 15, 1943, a daughter of the late Lonnie Jefferson Ward and Ettawa Strickland Ward. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Charles R. Scarborough; a daughter, Deresa Lynn Sherrill and husband Kevin of Belmont; a brother, Ronald J. Ward and wife Robin of Salisbury; and one sister, Claudette Overcash and husband "Red" of Mooresville.
