Brian David Shaff

Heaven received a special angel on Monday, May 29, 2017, when Brian David Shaff, 46, passed away at CHS - NorthEast in Concord after a brief illness. Being such a loving, generous, caring and selfless man caught God’s eye to spread His word from the highest.

A funeral service is scheduled for 7:30 pm Friday, June 2, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sherri Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7:15 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Shaff was born January 30, 1971 in Carbondale, PA. He was the son of David Joseph Shaff and Myrtle Nellie Zawisky Shaff. He was a 1989 graduate of Western Wayne High School in Lake Ariel, PA. He was active in the Stanly County Special Olympics and participated in the following events: 3 on 3 Basketball, Bocce Ball, Bowling and Track & Field. He won a number of Gold Medals at the state competition. He was a great competitor, yet he was always concerned about his fellow competitors. He worked for Stanly Industrial Services (SIS) in Albemarle and previously worked for Monarch Health Care in Albemarle. He volunteered at the Community Inn and Clothing Closet in Albemarle and West Albemarle Baptist Church. He also attended The Village Church faithfully and could always be found on the front row and always had prayer requests for others.

Brian has touched so many lives and only wanted everyone around him to get better.

Mr. Shaff is survived by his mother Myrtle “Myrt” Zawisky Shaff of Salisbury; father, David Joseph Shaff of Salisbury; sister, Lisa Shaff Murphy and husband Keary of Cleveland, NC; his Circle Drive family and his SIS Family.
