Brown Allen Bost

Mr. Brown Allen Bost, 81, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Terri Barringer will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:15 pm Thursday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Bost was born May 31, 1933 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Gilmer Leonard Bost and Lillie Shoe Bost. He retired from Standard Trucking Company in Charlotte where he was a mechanic and earlier worked for Cannon Mills in Kannapolis. He was a member of Bethel Bear Creek United Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Linker Bost; a sister, Peggy B. Ogburn; and a brother, George “Herman” Bost.

Mr. Bost is survived by a daughter, Vickie B. Hatley and husband Reggie of Albemarle; two sons, Danny Bost of Mt. Pleasant and Randy Bost and wife Connie also of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Rachel Harrison of Concord and Betty Isenhour of Mooresville; brother, Gilmer “Jackie” Bost of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Allen Hatley, Matthew Hatley and Lane Bost; and four great grandchildren, Tucker Bost, Tilman Hatley, Tanner Hatley and Addison Hatley.
