Burton Eugene Shankle

Mr. Burton Eugene Shankle, 72, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, August 15, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Shankle was born October 30, 1938 in Iredell County. He was a son of the late S. C. Shankle and Nannie Baker Shankle. He worked for Fieldcrest Cannon as a machine operator. Mr. Shankle is survived by son, Keith Shankle of Kannapolis; sister, JoAnn Saunders of Davidson; and brother, Rev. Clyde Shankle of Dayton, TN.
