Carmella Corriere

Carmella Corriere a loving mother and grandmother, age 80, of Southern Lane, Salisbury and formerly of Kannapolis, died Saturday at CMC-NorthEast. Funeral Services will be conducted in Lane Street Church of God at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. The Rev. Wade Easom will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Carmella was born in East Cambridge, Mass. on September 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph Corriere and Maria Lanzali Corriere. She was a member of Lane Street Church of God and had retired from the sewing room of Cannon Mills in Kannapolis. Survivors include three sons, Frank Andrew Mezuk of China Grove, Edward Bruce Mezuk of Rockford, MI and Michael Ray Fink of New London; three daughters, Deborah Marie Teal of Salisbury, Marie Elizabeth Gonzalez of Kannapolis and Susan Ann Carter of China Grove; brother, Alfredo Corriere and sister, Jean Venti, both of Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
