Carmen Tejera

Mrs. Carmen Cepero Tejera, 92, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Joe DeJesus will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 am Wednesday prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tejera was born on July 17, 1922 in Cuba. She was a daughter of the late Santiago Cepero and Venancia Horta Cepero. She worked as a seamstress in New York City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Tejera.

Mrs. Tejera is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Castro of Charlotte; and two grandsons, Alex Castro and wife, Rebekah and Mike Castro and wife, Kim.
