Carol Corbett

Mrs. Carol Jean Lumsden Corbett, 71, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ron Touchton will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Corbett was born on May 14, 1943 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Harold D. Lumsden and Myrade Wright Lumsden. She worked at Cannon Mills as a hemmer in the Sheet Department. She was a member of the Kannapolis Church of God. Carol enjoyed sewing, cooking and decorating.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Small; and three brothers, Sam, Roy and Hugh Lumsden.

Mrs. Corbett is survived by her husband, David Jasper Corbett; and many nieces and nephews.
