Carol Edwards Fox Marion

Mrs. Carol Edwards Fox Marion, age 77, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Five Oaks Manor following a number of years of declining health. Funeral services for Mrs. Marion will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Grigg will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Carol was born on November 19, 1932 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Charles Russell Edwards and Callie Spencer Edwards. She lived almost all her life at the home where she grew up at the corner of Brantley Road and Wright Avenue. She was a graduate of the J.W. Cannon High School class of 1951 and has been a lifelong member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson C. Marion in 1998, and her son, Richard Alan Fox in 1991, and a step-daughter, Linda O'Neal. Survivors include a brother, Val Edwards and his wife Judy Harris Edwards of Kannapolis, a sister, Arlene Edwards Thompson of Advance, and a number of nieces and nephews.
