Mrs. Carol Welcome Goss, 73, formerly of Erie, PA, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A private service will be held by the family at a later time.

Carol was born September 8, 1952 in Conneaut, OH. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward Crouch and Dorothy May Hardendorf Crouch. She worked for Lakes Pipe and Supply as a sales associate.

Carol was an avid quilter, loved living at the lake, walking with friends, and was a fan of Notre Dame football. She was a member of the Catholic faith, and was advocated for reading and education. Her middle name, "Welcome", is a family name, and one of her gifts. Everyone was always welcome for dinner, catch a ride home, or stay the night.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Crouch and Charles Crouch.

Carol is survived by husband, Francis Vincent Goss, Jr. of Salisbury, NC; two daughters, Jennifer Hunter of Kannapolis, NC, and Patti Harris and husband Joseph of Columbus, OH; son, Francis E. Goss and wife Samantha of Emmaus, PA; sister, Claudia Peterson and husband Steve of Erle, PA; three grandchildren, Moira Hunter, Charlotte Goss, and Emelia Goss; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends who love her and will miss her.
