Carol Orvin

Mrs. Carol Wilson Orvin, 65, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, at Liberty Commons in Salisbury.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 16, 2013, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bob Young will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Orvin was born on February 7, 1948 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Paul Allen Wilson and Grace Elizabeth Sifford Wilson. She was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School, class of 1966, and a graduate of the Louise Harkey School of Nursing. Carol retired as a Registered Nurse from NorthEast Medical Center after 35 years of service. Carol enjoyed ceramic painting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Colson Orvin; brother, Billy Allen Wilson; and grandson, Tanner C. Brewer.

Mrs. Orvin is survived by daughter, Kimberly Orvin of the home; two sisters, Rebecca Joan Cline of Kannapolis and Ellen Elizabeth Cashion of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews.
