Carol Marie Trexler

China Grove Mrs. Carol Rogers Cruse Trexler, 70, of Old Beatty Ford Road, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 4, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Heritage Baptist Church in Concord. Her sons, Pastor Tim Cruse and Pastor Terry Cruse officiated.

The family received friends following the memorial service.

Carol was born March 7, 1942 in Iredell County. She was the daughter of the late Frank Rogers and Marie Burchett Rogers. She was a homemaker. Carol enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved gardening and was a faithful witness for the Lord. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Kermit L. Cruse; and a brother, Wayne Rogers.

Mrs. Trexler is survived by two daughters, Tamara Cruse of Lexington and Teffney C. Shearer of China Grove; two sons, Pastor Tim Cruse and wife Rebekah of Monroe and Pastor Terry Cruse and wife Lisa of Rockwell; two brothers, Ernest Rogers of Indian Trail and Dwight Rogers of China Grove; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may by sent to Fresh Start of Union County, 2541 Old Charlotte Highway, Monroe, NC 28110.
