Carolyn Barrier Mclaughlin

Mrs. Carolyn Barrier McLaughlin, 81, of 622 Libby Lane, Dallas, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia. A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte. The Rev. Forest Jones officiated. Born June 9, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Edward More Barrier and Bessie Bost Barrier. She was a homemaker and of the Assemblies of God faith. Her husband, Glenn Ivan McLaughlin, preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Glenalyn Stancil of Dallas; son, Edward McLaughlin of Lakeland, FL; sister, Adelaide Mullis of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
