Mrs. Carolyn Gordy Ostwalt, 92, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, at Meadowbrook Heath & Rehabilitation of Salisbury.

A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Landis. Rev. Mckenzie Sefa will officiate.

Carolyn was born June 1, 1934 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late John Clarence Gordy and Carrie Grace Taylor Gordy. She retired from Draymore Manufacturing in Mooresville where she was an Inspector.

In addition to her parent,s she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Eugene Thompson and Herbert M. Ostwalt.

Carolyn is survived by a her daughter, Shari Moore and husband Jeff of China Grove; and son, Ricky Thompson and wife Sherrie of China Grove; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
