Carolyn Loftis Raffie

Mrs. Carolyn Loftis Raffie, 66, of 838 Lillian Street, China Grove, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis. The Rev. R. J. Hammond and the Rev. Gene Beaver will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born March 8, 1939, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Little and Irene Lauder Little. She was employed as a supervisor at the Rowan County Detention Center in Salisbury and was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Loftis; and two sisters, Judy Roseman and Jean Johnson. Survivors include two daughters, Tina Sherrill of Statesville and Angela Loftis of China Grove; a son, Danny Loftis of Concord; a brother, Tommy Little of Statesville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
