Carrol Alexander Shaw

Mr. Carrol Alexander Shaw, 77, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 am Tuesday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Shaw was born on September 22, 1937 in Cumberland County. He was a son of the late James Alexander Shaw and Blanche Davis Shaw. He was a US Air Force Veteran. Mr. Shaw worked for several trucking companies. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Pope Shaw; two sons, Steven Shaw and wife, Cassandra, of Asheville and Douglas A. Shaw and wife Kerrie of Jonesville, SC; sister, Estelle Brown of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
