Carroll Lee Ratliff

Mr. Carroll “Whitey” Lee Ratliff, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Five Oaks Manor.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Ratliff was born on May 17, 1926 in Ruby, SC. He was a son the late William Howard Ratliff and Ruth G. Ratliff. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. Mr. Ratliff was an electrical contractor and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kannapolis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Ratliff and Jeral Ratliff.

Mr. Ratliff is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn Ratliff; and nephew, Roger Ratliff and wife Lesa, all of Kannapolis.
