Chad Wayne Murph

Mr. Chad Wayne Murph, 39, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2013 at Genesis Baptist Church. Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 pm, Friday, prior to the service at Genesis Baptist Church.

Chad was born on February 17, 1974 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Jerry Murph and Diane Faggart Murph. He graduated from AL Brown High School in 1992. He worked as a foreman for the Norfolk Southern Railroad. Chad was a charter member of Genesis Baptist Church. He especially loved to spend time with his nephews. Chad enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Amber Murph Pittman and husband Don of China Grove; and two nephews, Zackary and Noah Pittman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Baptist Church, Building Fund, 9710 Old Salisbury-Concord Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
