Mr. Charles Ray Anderson, 64, a beloved son, husband, daddy and pawpaw, of 5075 Lake Fisher Road, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center-University, following 10 years of declining health, and a serious illness of 10 days. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Marion Fulk will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with Military Honors conducted by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the residence. Born December 24, 1942, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Charles Gilbert Anderson and Louise Cline Anderson of Kannapolis. He was the owner and operator of Anderson Masonry in Kannapolis. He was a member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Eugenia "Genie" Moseley Anderson; two daughters, Stephanie Anderson Eudy and husband, Earl Eudy, Jr. of the home, Brandi Anderson Grey and husband, Brian Grey, of Garner; five grandchildren, Bethany Eudy, Cody Eudy, Alston Eudy, Alex Grey and Daniel Grey; and his mother and father-in-law, Wilma and Lonnie McCollum of Kannapolis. Memorials may be sent to Coltrane LIFE Center, 321 Corban Avenue SE, Concord, NC 28025. The family expresses appreciation to the staff at Britthaven of Charlotte and Carolinas Medical Center-University, for the excellent care that Charles received.
