Charles "Anthony" Ballard

October 30, 1960 — May 27, 2021

Mr. Charles "Anthony" Ballard, 60, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Kannapolis. Rev. Bill Watkins and Rev. Mike Edwards will officiate.

Mr. Ballard was born October 20, 1960 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Darrell Horace Ballard and the late Doris Ann Henley Ballard. He was a member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church. He attended Northwest Cabarrus High School. He was a man who never met a stranger no matter where he was.

The loss of his mom and two brothers was very hard on Anthony. It is comforting to know Anthony now has a new body and a new mind. I’m sure he’s talking his mom and brother’s ears off in heaven. Anthony loved music, and loved to listen to his brothers sing. He was their biggest supporter. Anthony was a big Elvis fan too. I’m sure he’s asked Elvis to sing him a song or two already.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell Stephen Ballard and Rodney Galen Ballard.

In addition to his father, Mr. Ballard is survived by his brother, Tommy Ballard and wife Susan of Charlotte; nieces, Elizabeth and Bekah Ballard; and sister-in-law Janet, wife of the late Steve Ballard.
