Cheryl Jane Saunders

Mrs. Cheryl J. Weaver Saunders, 65, formerly of Johnson City, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2012.

A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J. Randolph Lucas, II will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:00 pm, Saturday, at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mrs. Saunders was born on April 5, 1947 in Binghamton, NY. She was the daughter of Marion C. Standish Weaver of Johnson City, NY and the late Charles John Weaver. Mrs. Saunders worked in the Kannapolis City Schools for over 20 years.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Saunders; her cat, Gracie and many wonderful friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tucker Hospice House and the Levine Cancer Institute for their care and compassion during Mrs. Saunder's illness.
