Christoepher Martin Peeler

Christoepher "Chris" Martin Peeler, 26, of 260 Large Avenue, Rockwell, died Monday August 18, 2008. Funeral services for Chris will be conducted at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, at 8 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008. The Rev. Benny Black, the Rev. Sam Crisp and the Rev. Bill Godair will officiate. Burial will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. with a service at the graveside at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday. At other times, they may be at the residence. Chris was born in Cabarrus County on December 18, 1981, the son of Gary Martin Peeler and Renae Hardin Peeler. At the age of 15, he won a modeling competition in Orlando Florida. He attended South Rowan High School, East Rowan High School and Stanly Community College. Chris has appeared in several movies including, "The Dale Earnhardt Story", "Shake Rattle and Roll", "The Patriot", "Talladega Nights" and "Carrie II". Among other interests, he was a great race fan and also loved dogs, especially his own two, "Rusty" and "Bear". In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ashley Knecht of China Grove; and his aunt, Linda Peeler of Salisbury.
