Christopher W. Armstrong

Mr. Christopher Wright "Chris" Armstrong, age 43, of 1201 N. Walnut St. died Monday, August 17, 2009 following a sudden illness. Born in Iredell County on January 4, 1966, he was the son of Esther Ketner Armstrong and the late Donald Wayne Armstrong. A graduate of A.L. Brown High School, he worked in construction. Services for Chris will be conducted at New Hope Lutheran Church, Thursday August 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Kim Trabold and Rev. Richard Rhoades will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday. At other times they will be at the residence on North Walnut Street. Survivors in addition to his mother, are his wife, Elizabeth Suzanne "Suzie" Steelman Armstrong, and a niece, Autumn Wilson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tracey Armstrong Wilson. The family requests memorials to be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, 101 Vance Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
