Christopher Lynn Oxendine

Mr. Christopher Lynn Oxendine, 55, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Scott Faw will officiate.

Mr. Oxendine was born December 28, 1961 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late Betty Morris O'Neal. He worked for the Independent Tribune as a press operator supervisor.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by step-father, Roy O'Neal.

Mr. Oxendine is survived by his wife of 28 years Gloria Oxendine; son, Christopher Alan Oxendine and wife Emily of Newburgh, NY; brother, Clayton Oxendine and wife Gina of Rockwell; sister, Ann Corriher of China Grove; and grandson, Abel Oxendine.
