Mrs. Cleo Sheets Adcock, 90, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:30 pm Sunday, April 26, 2015, at First Wesleyan Church. Rev. Scott Wheeler and Rev. Charles Patton will officiate. Interment will at 10:00 am Monday at the Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:15 pm Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Adcock was born August 12, 1924 in Wilkes County. She was a daughter of the late Carson Sheets and Thelma Sheets. Cleo graduated from W.R. Odell High School in 1944. She worked for Bank of America and Wachovia Bank in Charlotte as a Safety Deposit Management. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Harold Adcock; daughter, Nancy Adcock Hamrick; sister, Opal Bradley; and two brothers, Edward Sheets and Bruce Sheets.

Mrs. Adcock is survived by a brother, James Sheets and wife Ethel of Kannapolis; son-in-law, John Hamrick of Fayetteville, GA; two brothers-in-law, Tom Adcock and Owen Adcock and wife Gertrude, all of Kannapolis; granddaughter, Barbara Abernathy and husband David of Newnan, GA; two great grandchildren, Stephanie Scroggins and Stephen Scroggins; and one great-great granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Wesleyan Church, 301 Bethpage Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
