Clifford Edgar Honeycutt

Mr. Clifford Edgar Honeycutt, 71, of 2850 Camp Julia Road, Kannapolis, died Thursday, August 7, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center, following a serious illness of two weeks. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Evelyn Browning will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of his sister, Mary Catherine Patterson, 2887 Centergrove Road, Kannapolis. Born November 30, 1931, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Rufus Edgar Honeycutt and the late Jennie Marianne Sides Honeycutt. Mr. Honeycutt was a retired automobile mechanic. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold V. Honeycutt, and a nephew, Charles Mark Patterson. Survivors include a sister, Mary Catherine Patterson of Kannapolis; a niece, Cathy Smith and her daughter, Dara, of China Grove; two nephews, John Rogers of Kannapolis, Fred Rogers and his wife Carolyn, and their sons, George and Charlie Rogers of Chicago, IL.
