Clinard Roger Woods

Mr. Clinard Roger Woods, 72, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glynn Weatherby, Jr. will officiate.

Mr. Woods was born on May 8, 1940 in Caldwell County. He was the son of the late Luke Woods and Ila McLeod Woods Robbins. Roger enjoyed visiting with former High School classmates from Hudson High School each month. Mr. Woods was a veteran of the US Navy. He retired as a boiler inspector for the state of North Carolina. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and liked cars of all kinds.

Mr. Woods is survived by his daughters, Lynn Harris and husband Brian of Rockwell, Lana Woods of Fairfax, VA and Dana Thompson and husband Edward of Statesville; brothers, James Woods of Hertford and Paul Robbins of Hudson; grandchildren, Brendon, Addison and Lauren. He is also survived by his canine companion, Bo.
