Clyde William Allen

Mr. Clyde William "Red" Allen, 97, of 2705 Florida Avenue, passed away on Thursday October 7, 2010. Funeral services for are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at his residence. Mr. Allen was born April 6, 1913 in Ruby, SC. He was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert Allen. He was retired from Cannon Mills where he worked as a machine fixer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Halley Roscoe Allen; and a son, Donald Allen. Mr. Allen is survived by a daughter, Judy A. McLain of Concord; son, Larry W. Allen of Concord; half brother, Grady Allen of Ruby, SC; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
