Colleen Spry Barber

Mrs. Colleen Spry Barber, 76, died Tuesday at Universal Health Care, Concord. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Blair Bridle will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home. Colleen was born April 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Dewey W. Spry and Viola Shoaf Spry. She worked in the payroll department of Cannon Mills for over 35 years and later as a nursing assistant at Cabarrus Hospital. She was a member of West Point Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Franklin O'Dell Barber and his wife, Lori, of Kannapolis.
