Cora Lee Ledbetter Kimball

Mrs. Cora Lee Ledbetter Kimball, 93, of Due West Street, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Salisbury. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joyce Miles will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Kimball was born August 24, 1917 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late John Franklin Ledbetter and Mabel Pethel Ledbetter. She worked for Cannon Mills as a spinner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest D. Kimball. Mrs. Kimball is survived by son, Darrell Kimball, Sr. of West Columbia, SC; daughter, Mary Ann Threadgill of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
