Mrs. Cynthia Mae Coe Simmons, 67, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simmons was born September 24, 1949 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Richard Joseph Coe, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Faircloth Coe. She retired from Fun Tees in Concord as a seamstress of more than 30 years. Mrs. Simmons was a wonderful, loving, caring mother and grandmother who was loved in return in her community, and especially by all of her children. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, fishing and pitching horseshoes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Brenda Eddings, Elizabeth Harrison and Mary McMillan.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by daughter, Angela Dunlap and husband Jeffrey of Salisbury; two sons, Jerry Simmons and wife Crystal of Kannapolis and Jimmy Simmons, Jr. and wife Sandra of Kentucky; brother, Richard Coe, Jr. and wife Colleen of Massena, NY; sister, Carolyn Caldwell and husband Harmon of Newton; eight grandchildren, Devin Dunlap, Lindsey Robbins and husband Nathan, Megan Dunlap, Taylor Simmons, Madison Simmons, Katie Klein, Nevaeh Hall and Justin Hall; one great granddaughter, Ansley Grace Simmons; and two aunts, Hilda Ledwell of Enochville and Helga Coe of China Grove.
